1.WE BELIEVE that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all that exists. Matthew 28:19; Isaiah 40:12-26
2.WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit inspired the human authors of Holy Scripture so that the Bible is without error in the original manuscripts. We receive the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments as our final, absolute authority, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21
3.WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, goodness, justice and love. That He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, that He hears all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. Romans 11:33-39; Matthew 7:11; Job 11:7-9
4.WE BELIEVE in JESUS CHRIST, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth. We believe that in His first coming Jesus inaugurated God’s Kingdom reign on earth. John 1:14-18; Hebrews 4:15; Romans 5:8; Luke 1:30-35; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8
5.WE BELIEVE that the HOLY SPIRIT indwells every believer in Jesus and that He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide, empowering people for ministry. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Spirit. Romans 8:9-10; John 16:7-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Acts 4:31
6.WE BELIEVE that all people are sinners by nature and are therefore under God’s judgment. God regenerates, justifies, adopts, sanctifies and baptizes by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord. Ephesians 2:1-10; Acts 2:38
7.WE BELIEVE in the one, holy, universal CHURCH, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members. Matthew 16:17-18; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 2:19-22
8.WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: water baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Both are available to all believers. 1 Corinthians 11:23-30; Luke 3:3
9.WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible, APPEARING OF CHRIST to earth and the consummation of His Kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and eternal punishment of those who have chosen not to follow Christ. Acts 1:9-11; 1 Corinthians 15:20-24; Matthew 25:31-46
